Heather grew up in Dodgeville, WI, graduated high school in Evansville, and went to college at UW-Madison. She graduated in 1994 with a BS in Zoology and Biological Aspects of Conservation.
After college, while working as a nanny in Connecticut, Heather discovered chiropractic. After suffering debilitating migraines since childhood, and then having numb hands for a year due to carpal tunnel syndrome, Heather had tried everything conventional medicine had to offer--and nothing helped. A fellow nanny introduced her to her employer--a chiropractor--and the treatment that followed changed her life. This was what inspired Heather to become a chiropractor-- experiencing profound healing herself and wanting to offer that to others. Heather received her Doctorate in Chiropractic with Honors in 2001, from Life Chiropractic University in Marietta, Georgia. While in chiropractic school, she met her husband, Jeff, who is now a paramedic and firefighter. In 2002, Heather received her fellowship in Pediatrics and Pregnancy from the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association, including a certification in the Webster’s In-Utero Constraint Technique (used to enable breech-position babies to turn into a more ideal birthing position.) After several years as a practicing Chiropractor in Denver, Colorado, Heather and her family moved back to the Midwest to be closer to family. In 2008 they welcomed their daughter, Parker. Heather has chosen to make the home for her practice in Edgerton because of the deep connection she feels with the community here. Heather’s chiropractic treatment style emphasizes a low force, compassionate, and all-inclusive approach to patient care. Ideally starting in childhood, and available to patients at any stage of life, chiropractic care can open up a patient’s ability to experience more of life and truly thrive in good health. |
